Lancome Purple Rose Collection Blush Highlighter in Moonlight Rose (Limited Edition)

Lancome Blush Highlighter in Moonlight Rose

I know, I know – purple again! The collection is called Purple Roses but I promise you nothing about this blusher is purple (something for a change, haha). This collection includes Lancome L’Absolu Mat Cashmere (Matte lipglosses) in three shades, Lancome L’Absolu Rouge BX (Matte lipsticks) in three shades, Lancome L’Absolu Nu Lip Stick (Sheer lipsticks) in three shades, Lancome Le Regard Pro: Brow Expertise kit, Lancome Hypnôse Brow Shaper, Lancome Vernis in Love in three shades (I believe), Lancome Le Vernis mattifying topcoat, Lancome Le Crayon Khôl eyeliner in Prune crepuscule and finally, Lancome Blush Highlighter in Moonlight Rose (my favourite thing out of the whole collection!). For some reason, this collection is also called ‘Midnight Roses’ (outside the UK).
This is why I LOVE Autumn/Winter Collections: there is a lot of purple around! And as you “should” know by know, I adore practically every shade of purple.

The plastic case is very elegant and sleek with Lancome logo in the right bottom corner. To open it you have to push a little button just underneath the top lid. It might be slightly difficult especially if you have long nails like I do. And the embossed rose inside looks so gorgeous!...

Moonlight Rose looks quite peachy/pink in the pan and it looks even pinker when applied to the skin (but nothing too pink, just a hint of pink like a rose gold). It is shimmery but it totally does not look frosty on the cheeks and does not emphasise your pores. It gives you that beautiful soft glow that just looks fresh and pretty. Love it.
Moonlight Rose is very easy to apply; it goes on smoothly and evenly. The texture is soft and it is very easy to blend. You need a few layers for that extra glow, if you just need a little glow you can easily get away with one swipe. It has a little blush inside the pan, which I never really use nut I guess it is great if you out and about and want to use the product. The finish is very radiant and shimmery. The lasting power is about 5 hours with a foundation underneath before it starts fading.

Similar shades: The only comparable products are Mac MSFs but they are not nearly as luminous as Moonlight Rose!
Overall, do I recommend it? Absolutely… YES! A.

  1. It looks gorgeous on you! I like the glow that doesn't look too glittery. I'll have to check this out at my local Lancome counter.
