Hello beauties!

Every year, I buy Paul & Joe Spring Collection (spring right, in January - wishful thinking I know!)  and every year I get mesmerised by their packaging and fall a little bit more in love with Paul & Joe as a brand. The new creation is called "April in Paris" and features three new shades of lipstick, three new lipstick cases, six new face & eye colours, three new Compacts, three new nail colours and a UV lipstick. 

And this is what I bought:

First, we have Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color CS in French Pop. Three gorgeous face colours (mine are going to be used as blushers!) and they look like old school vinyls! So cute! The shades are: powder pink, fuchsia pink and peachy pink. The shades are really pigmented and they last for a full day on my face (with some fading after 5 hours). I feel like with every collection, Paul & Joe keeps getting better and better with their pigments! My only worry is that they are paper thin - the pigment itself is pressed on the paper inside "the vinyl" so I am not sure how long they will last for... However, there is three of them so plenty to keep me going!...

Next up, we have the compacts. If you are not familiar with Paul & Joe, they sell both of their face colours and lipstick cases separately and then you buy your pigments / lipstick shades to slot into the packaging. The compacts I purchased are 016 (Cat Faces) and 018 (Pretty Cat).

I also purchased two lipstick cases to match the compacts and a lipstick in Saint-Garmain. The lipstick is a bright red in a bullet, however it's a clear / shiny finish so it has a hint of red when applied. It lasted about an hour on me before I had to re-apply. The formula is moisturising and very comfortable to wear.

Chill in the Air is a lovely, peachy, pinky shade with little golden pearls that will look great on any complexion. Great end-of-summer shade. It contains a little, tiny particles of glitter.

Petite Promenade is a mauve shade of pink with little golden pearls. Again, it does contain glitter but its not overwhelming. Also pretty.

Please, can we all just take a couple of minutes and simply admire the boxes AND cat shaped pearls inside the product?... The packaging looks adorable - same as usual for Paul & Joe brand but cats inside the product is an extra bonus haha! Love it! The puff inside is incredibly soft and easy to use. You are supposed to swirl the puff inside the box and then simply apply to your cheeks... I won't bring myself to use this pretty puff and just going to stick to my blush brush! READ MORE

 I cannot believe it's already that time of the year where all the spring collections are starting to make their way onto the shelves! It's all very exciting! Especially now the Christmas is over there is nothing better to look forward to then new spring collections, and yes Paul & Joe - I am talking about you! :-)

Face and Eye Colour CS in 095 Girafe and 096 Elephanteau is presented in a printed, cardboard packaging. You get four different colours is each pan: (clockwise from top left) hippo is an accent eyeshadow colour, swan is a highlighter, elephant is a blusher and a cat (my personal favourite) is all over eye colour. Looks very pretty but there is one main downside to having all colours embossed onto the same palette, which is that they will easily get mixed with each other. Especially if you use a brush to apply your makeup. But hey, the benefit is that you have all you need to create a makeup look on a go in a nice sized, handy palette!   Read more ->

Ahh.. This is my favourite part of Paul & Joe 2014 Autumn Collection: lipsticks. And they are so pretty as well!

Film Festival is dark, deep red with blue undertones (the one that makes your teeth look whiter). Very pigmented, creamy colour. Full coverage.

Standing Ovation is a slightly muted shade of pink. Again, creamy and and pigmented shade. Definitely more of a day-time colour.

Late, late show is a beautiful peachy nude. Fully opaque with 3 swipes. READ MORE->

Do you know a type of over reaction and excitement when you see something and you won't rest until you have it? Well that is me when it comes to Paul & Joe makeup. I literally won't go to sleep unless it is on its way to my house. (!) This year's autumn collection does not disappoint.

I totally adore their printed packaging: no one does it better than Paul & Joe! There is something for everyone. The packaging is cute but it is sturdy and hardwearing at the same time (taking from experience here) so do not be fooled by its prettiness: it it designed to last. Right, enough of that because I could go on for ages... how cute it is how pretty etc... Haha!

Paul & Joe Face Powder S in 001 Secret Garden is a translucent powder with a silky matte finish. There is four different shades of balls: white, blue, yellow and pink. The white and blue ones are just just plain translucent but pink and yellow have got a very fine pieces of shimmer in them. LOVE. The balls are quite hard which is just perfect for applying ideal amount of powder, which is very smooth and applies very easily. And I like the fact that there is not too much shimmer in it, just silky smooth translucent powder that make your face look flawless in seconds. It is probably best suited for fair complexions due to the balls being very pale.

And... the packaging just looks and feel gorgeous! The puff is incredibly soft and all I wanna do it rub it against my face it feels so nice ha! I just love the whole design and I would probably buy it just for the pretty packaging! Oh!... And the smell is sooo addictive - I know some of you ladies do not like it but for me - it is just heaven. Seriously. (...)

Paul & Joe in Poppy is a very sheer shade of muted coral. Or a sheer lipstick with a tiny hint of coral when applied. Poppy is paired with Mint Green Print case.

Paul & Joe in Pony looks like a very bright shade of pink in the bullet but it is basically just a clear balm / lipstick once applied. Pony is paired with Retro case.

Paul & Joe in Rosebud is sheer shade of blue red with tiny pieces of glitter in it. Very pretty shade when applied. It is the most opaque one out of all of them. My favourite out of the three. Rosebud is paired with Horse Print case.

Paul & Joe Colour Powder in 088 Dahlia (below) is a very lovely peachy shade of bright coral with tiny (I mean microscopic!) pieces of shimmer and yellow-ish floral pattern imprinted on top, which disappears completely after the first use. Prettiness in a pan! Perfect for upcoming spring.

 Paul & Joe Colour Powder in 089 Azalea is a bright shade of pink with blue imprints. Pure perfection. This shade is probably most dupable.

 Paul & Joe Colour Powder in 090 Amaryllis is a warm shade of red with cream imprints. Again, gorgeous shade and very wearable.

Paul & Joe Lipstick in 079 (Merry-Go-Round) and 080 (Manege) are both embossed with beautiful carousel ponies and placed in a golden tube with printed lace and flowers on it. Both have corresponding cases to go with.

The compact created by Paul & Joe for their new, fabulous cheek colours (post below) is just so pretty it is hard to resist!... It is pleasure to touch as it is made from nice and shiny and good quality plastic with embossed Paul & Joe flower on top! The compact is not too big, not too small – just perfect size! It is very solid: it even survived fall from height onto hard surface (not intentionally though, haha!). I am totally in love with the whole idea of getting separate case and refill but this cute little cheek compact is just pretty enough to get it on its own! So if you are thinking about getting yourself a refill but not the compact – simply don’t! You won’t regret it :) Love, A. xxx
