Hello beauties!

Every year, I buy Paul & Joe Spring Collection (spring right, in January - wishful thinking I know!)  and every year I get mesmerised by their packaging and fall a little bit more in love with Paul & Joe as a brand. The new creation is called "April in Paris" and features three new shades of lipstick, three new lipstick cases, six new face & eye colours, three new Compacts, three new nail colours and a UV lipstick. 

And this is what I bought:

First, we have Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color CS in French Pop. Three gorgeous face colours (mine are going to be used as blushers!) and they look like old school vinyls! So cute! The shades are: powder pink, fuchsia pink and peachy pink. The shades are really pigmented and they last for a full day on my face (with some fading after 5 hours). I feel like with every collection, Paul & Joe keeps getting better and better with their pigments! My only worry is that they are paper thin - the pigment itself is pressed on the paper inside "the vinyl" so I am not sure how long they will last for... However, there is three of them so plenty to keep me going!...

Next up, we have the compacts. If you are not familiar with Paul & Joe, they sell both of their face colours and lipstick cases separately and then you buy your pigments / lipstick shades to slot into the packaging. The compacts I purchased are 016 (Cat Faces) and 018 (Pretty Cat).

I also purchased two lipstick cases to match the compacts and a lipstick in Saint-Garmain. The lipstick is a bright red in a bullet, however it's a clear / shiny finish so it has a hint of red when applied. It lasted about an hour on me before I had to re-apply. The formula is moisturising and very comfortable to wear.

Chill in the Air is a lovely, peachy, pinky shade with little golden pearls that will look great on any complexion. Great end-of-summer shade. It contains a little, tiny particles of glitter.

Petite Promenade is a mauve shade of pink with little golden pearls. Again, it does contain glitter but its not overwhelming. Also pretty.

Please, can we all just take a couple of minutes and simply admire the boxes AND cat shaped pearls inside the product?... The packaging looks adorable - same as usual for Paul & Joe brand but cats inside the product is an extra bonus haha! Love it! The puff inside is incredibly soft and easy to use. You are supposed to swirl the puff inside the box and then simply apply to your cheeks... I won't bring myself to use this pretty puff and just going to stick to my blush brush! READ MORE

Eeek! I finally got my hands on the new beauty range from H&M! How exciting! If I could I would literally buy every single thing from the collection but... let's be honest. Unless I win a lottery it is not gonna happen lol. So I decided to get some... (yeah, no surprise there!) lipsticks, a couple of eyshadows and blushers.

So far, I have been using Eye Colours and I can report that they are amazing! All products have creamy and buttery like texures and are very pigmented as you can see on the photo! I will post full reviews soon - but I hope you enjoyed this little preview :) Love, A.xx

 I cannot believe it's already that time of the year where all the spring collections are starting to make their way onto the shelves! It's all very exciting! Especially now the Christmas is over there is nothing better to look forward to then new spring collections, and yes Paul & Joe - I am talking about you! :-)

Face and Eye Colour CS in 095 Girafe and 096 Elephanteau is presented in a printed, cardboard packaging. You get four different colours is each pan: (clockwise from top left) hippo is an accent eyeshadow colour, swan is a highlighter, elephant is a blusher and a cat (my personal favourite) is all over eye colour. Looks very pretty but there is one main downside to having all colours embossed onto the same palette, which is that they will easily get mixed with each other. Especially if you use a brush to apply your makeup. But hey, the benefit is that you have all you need to create a makeup look on a go in a nice sized, handy palette!   Read more ->

Paul & Joe Colour Powder in 088 Dahlia (below) is a very lovely peachy shade of bright coral with tiny (I mean microscopic!) pieces of shimmer and yellow-ish floral pattern imprinted on top, which disappears completely after the first use. Prettiness in a pan! Perfect for upcoming spring.

 Paul & Joe Colour Powder in 089 Azalea is a bright shade of pink with blue imprints. Pure perfection. This shade is probably most dupable.

Wow!!! That was my initial reaction when I saw these gorgeous blushers (both refills and the case – aaaaah!... THAT case!...) My heart absolutely melted and four of these beauties went straight to my shopping basket – BUT oh boy, I wish I’d bought more!!

Paul & Joe Cheek Colour Refills (or Face Colour on asos) in 03 (Gigi), 06 (Mon Ami), 08 (Candy) and 09 (Peaches’n’Cream) are all embossed with Paul & Joe logo right in the middle of a pan and placed in a beautiful clear packaging with embossed flower on it. All have little magnet cleverly hidden on the back of each pan. This is so beautiful all you need to do to enjoy the products is just to stare at them (not kidding)!... Honestly, at this point I was completely delighted and I thought at £12.50 each it was money well spent, haha. Anyway, I purchased four of these gorgeous blushers:

I know, I know – purple again! The collection is called Purple Roses but I promise you nothing about this blusher is purple (something for a change, haha). This collection includes Lancome L’Absolu Mat Cashmere (Matte lipglosses) in three shades, Lancome L’Absolu Rouge BX (Matte lipsticks) in three shades, Lancome L’Absolu Nu Lip Stick (Sheer lipsticks) in three shades, Lancome Le Regard Pro: Brow Expertise kit, Lancome Hypnôse Brow Shaper, Lancome Vernis in Love in three shades (I believe), Lancome Le Vernis mattifying topcoat, Lancome Le Crayon Khôl eyeliner in Prune crepuscule and finally, Lancome Blush Highlighter in Moonlight Rose (my favourite thing out of the whole collection!). For some reason, this collection is also called ‘Midnight Roses’ (outside the UK).

This is why I LOVE Autumn/Winter Collections: there is a lot of purple around! And as you “should” know by know, I adore practically every shade of purple.

Supernova is a very bold and intense shade of magenta/reddish pink with a slightly shimmery, golden finish. The packaging is typical for MAC blushers: black and sturdy.

PAUL & JOE 2012 Spring Creation Eye Shadow, Lipstick C and Blusher Stick

I am so excited about this collection that I can’t even describe in words HOW MUCH I love it!.! I’ve been waiting for this limited edition to be available on asos website for a while and now I’ve got it! I love it, loove it, LOOOVE it! My own little collection consists of: Face & Eye Color in Purr-fect (078), Lipstick C in Catwalk (077) and Blusher Stick in Catfight (003).

Their cute, stylish retro packaging never fails to impress me. As always, it’s beautiful. The Face & Eye Color in Purr-fect looks very pretty with cat design pressed into the powder. Purr-fect features 2 shades of grey-ish green and one ivory shade on the cat’s tummy. The shades are slightly sparkly. I wouldn’t say they are very pigmented but that’s what makes them ideal for everyday use. Staying power is about 6-7 hours with primer, which I consider quite reasonable. Overall, I think it's a great shade for the spring/summer season. Not to mention the super adorable packaging.

 Paul & Joe Face & Eye Color in Purr-fect

The lipstick looks very cute with paw prints on them and it smells gorgeous (as all Paul & Joe makeup products do). It is a slightly peachy shade of red. It’s very sheer and when applied, looks like peachy nude. I would say it’s more like a lip balm with a hint of colour. The texture is very soft and creamy and it glides on just seamlessly. Although I am not a fan of sheer lipsticks, I love this one and I’m definitely making some space for it in my makeup bag!

And the blusher… It’s so unbelievably cute I didn’t want to swatch it! Would you destroy such a beautiful thing?...:-P I guess I should have bought two. Lol. Anyway, I did swatch it in the end (from the side tho!) and it looks very pretty. It’s a bright orange-y red and I think it’s a perfect match to that lipstick!

Overall, I am over the moon with this makeup range. I would definitely re-purchase and I am looking forward to expanding my little collection. :) A.
